These are the terms Clean & Clear works under. They are written plainly on purpose.
Estimates
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. An estimate is based on the property as we find it and on the work you have asked for. If the job turns out to be materially different once we are on site, we will tell you before we carry on, and you can decide whether to go ahead.
Pricing
Prices are job-specific. What you pay depends on how much work there is, the size of the property, how accessible the windows or surfaces are, the condition they are in, and any add-ons you have asked for. Advertised starting prices are starting prices, not a flat rate for every property.
What a standard window clean includes
A standard window clean covers the glass inside and outside, along with normal cleaning of the frames and tracks. The following are priced separately and will appear in your quote if you ask for them:
- screens removed, washed, dried and reinstalled, at $5 per screen
- intensive cleaning of frames and tracks beyond the standard
- downspout cleaning
- gutter guards, including the cost of the guard material and its installation
Access, method and safety
Our water-fed pole reaches most residential windows from the ground, but not every window on every property. Where it does not, we use a ladder suited to the job. We decide the method based on access, safety and the condition of the property, and we will not use a method we judge unsafe.
We work on houses, townhouses and business premises up to approximately three storeys. We do not take on properties taller than that.
We ask that you give us reasonable access on the day, including to gates, outside taps and the areas to be cleaned, and that you tell us in advance about anything we should know — loose or damaged glass, alarms, pets, or areas you would rather we stayed away from.
Booking and cancellation
If you need to change or cancel a booking, let us know as early as you can and we will rearrange it. Weather can also force us to move a booking; if that happens we will contact you and agree a new date.
Our work
We carry out every job with care and treat your home as we would want ours treated. If you are not happy with something we have done, tell us promptly and we will come back and look at it. Our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the job in question. This does not limit any rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
Referral offer
Where we offer a reward for referrals, a referral counts once the person you referred has had their job completed and paid for. Tell us who referred you when you book so that we can record it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
